The San Jacinto Rotary Club was started in 1954 and is one of the oldest Rotary Clubs in the Inland Empire. We are proud of our 60 year history of supporting the academic achievements of local students ~ and we will continue with our Rotary commitment of “Service Above Self” within our community.
In 2011, through the generous support of people throughout San Jacinto and our club members, we were able to provide scholarships to San Jacinto High School and Mountain View graduates who might otherwise not have been able to start college this fall. For some of these students, it was the first time that they were recognized for their tremendous academic efforts or given encouragement to “catch their dreams”.
In addition to our high school scholarships, this will be our 4th year of presenting dictionaries to every 3rd grader in the San Jacinto School District, San Jacinto Valley Academy and St. Hyacinth Academy.
Every week The San Jacinto Rotary Club hosts speakers on topics of local the community to international issues.
Rotary is the world’s oldest service club organization. Its made up of more than 32,000 Rotary clubs in nearly 170 countries. The club members are called Rotarians. There are approximately 1.2 million business and professional leaders all around the world that make up the Rotary International.
Often, a person being considered for membership is invited by a club member, or sponsor, to attend one or more club meetings to learn more about Rotary.
